Follow these steps to create custom views in Sourcery to help you filter and organize your data effectively.


Step 1: Navigate to the Tag Column

  1. Locate the "Tag" column in your workspace.
  2. Click on the filter icon in the column header.

Step 2: Filter by Tag

  1. If you have tags already created, click one (e.g., "Agent A").
  2. The list will filter to show items tagged with "Agent A".

Step 3: Create a New View

  1. After filtering the list by your chosen tag, click on the "Create New View" button.
  2. Edit the view name (e.g., "Agent A View").
  3. Select the "Default View - ['Agent A']" option.
  4. Click "Save" to store your new view.

Step 4: Add a New Tag

  1. Click into a field in the "Tag" column of your workspace.
  2. Type a new tag (e.g., "Exterior") into the text box and press Enter.
  3. Apply the tag to other items in the same column as needed.

Step 5: Filter by the New Tag

  1. Click the filter icon in the "Tag" column again.
  2. Select the new tag, e.g., "Exterior".
  3. Ensure you clear previous filters by clicking "Clear Filter" if necessary.

Step 6: Create a View for the New Tag

  1. With the list filtered by the new tag, click "Create New View".
  2. Name the view appropriately (e.g., "Exterior View").
  3. Click "Save" to save this view.

Step 7: Create a New View from an Existing View (Alternative Method)

  1. Navigate to the Views section and click "Create New View".
  2. Choose the option "Create a new view from a copy of" and select an existing view (e.g., "Exterior View").
  3. Click "Copy" to duplicate the view.
  4. Edit the view settings, such as filtering criteria, and rename the view.
  5. Click "Save" to finalize.

Step 8: Finalizing and Using Views

  1. Once you have saved your view, navigate to the Views section.
  2. Select the newly created view from the list to start using it.

Tips for Success

  • Use consistent naming conventions for your views.
  • Clear filters when switching between tags to avoid confusion.
  • Duplicate views for similar use cases to save time.
